Dili, 21/2/2013—Anti-Corruption Commissioner Adérito de Jesus Soares this morning addresses Dili-based journalists, national and international, that CAC is scheduled to celebrate its 3rd year anniversary tomorrow, Friday, 22 February 2013, with university students in Dili. Speaking to the journalists, Commissioner Adérito Soares praises the work of media so far in actively reporting and combating corruption in Timor-Leste.
In his statement about the celebration, Commissioner Adérito Soares states that about 1,500 students from all higher-education in Dili are expected to gather at the Jináziu Dili (Dili Sport Center) for the half day celebration. Among dignitaries who are scheduled to attend include President of the National Parliament Vicente Guterres, State Minister and President of the Council of Ministers Hermenegildo Pereira and Bishop of Dili Diocese Don Alberto Ricardo and Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor-Leste.
Part of the agenda for celebration tomorrow will be featured a short documentary film about CAC’s work profile and a panel discussion on the role of university in preventing corruption in Timor-Leste.
Tomorrow’s commemoration is jointly organized by CAC and the Universidade Nasional Timor-Lorosa’e (UNTL).
