CAC Strategic Plan Takes Shape
Dili, Timor-Leste. “Our Strategic Plan will be completed and ready to share with the public on December 9, International Anticorruption Day,” said Adérito Soares, Commissioner of the Anticorruption Commission during an all-day planning session on October 18.
The “all staff” planning session was the third meeting held by the Commission in the development of its three year strategic plan.
The Commission swore in its investigations staff in November 2010. Since that time it has been working non-stop to hire and train staff while carrying out the sensitive investigations that are the reason for their existence. “As a young organization with important work, there are no excuses. We must get all of these tasks completed at the same time. The public expects it of us, and we expect is of ourselves,” said Commissioner Adérito.
“This will be our first Strategic Plan. It will describe our Vision, Mission, Professional Values, our approach to staff enhancement and our goals in working to strengthen other government organizations in Timor-Leste as we work together to create a future for our country,” said Commissioner Aderito.
